The Gerber Podiatry Clinic was established in 1983 and is
a podiatric surgical practice specializing in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders and diseases of the foot and ankle.
Our practice is under the medical direction of Dr. Robert Gerber D.P.M. Dr. Gerber is a board certified foot surgeon. He is trained in reconstructive foot surgery. Dr Robert M. Gerber graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, Illinois in 1979 with degrees with honors in Biology and the physical sciences and graduated from the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine 1983.
Dr. Gerber completed surgical training at Thorek Hospital in Chicago. Dr Gerber currently a member of the surgical orthopedic staffs at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Our Lady of the Resurrection hospital in Chicago and Thorek Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Gerber is board certified in podiatric surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
Dr. Gerber is a member both the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association and American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Gerber philosophy of practice is to educate the patient with all of their treatment options and deliver the best foot care possible specifically suited to the patient. Dr. Gerber enjoys an active lifestyle and fully understands how important healthy feet are to the patient.

Our convemient Evanston facility provide a comfortable, modern and efficient setting to quickly and completely diagnose and treat any type of foot problem. This is achieved with the latest technology, well trained and dedicated staff and in office diagnostic instruments.
We are located inside the St. Francis Hospital Professional building located at 800 Austin St. in the West Tower suite # 508. There are three parking lots conveniently located near our office all of which are free.
We accept Medicare Assignment, Private insurance plans, PPO's, Point of Service plans, HMOs with referral, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Public Aid. We prepare and submit insurance claims on the patients behalf. Please call your insurance carrier to confirm limits of coverage of your plan.
